## What we are

Hotel Millefiori (also known as Alpine Event Lodge) is a small, independently run boutique hotel in Valtournenche, at 1,524 m in the Aosta Valley, Italian Alps. Founded in 2016 by a group of Scandinavians, the hotel was gutted and rebuilt to offer a full alpine experience under one roof: guides plan the days, an in-house ski shop holds the gear, and the kitchen feeds everyone at a shared table each evening.

The hotel is two minutes by private shuttle from the ski lift connecting to the Cervinia–Zermatt ski system — 360 km of linked pistes across Italy and Switzerland, reaching Plateau Rosa glacier and car-free Zermatt under the north face of the Matterhorn.

## A typical day (winter season)

- 06:45 — Breakfast buffet opens (continental + hot dishes)
- 08:00–10:00 — Private shuttle runs to the ski lift three times each morning
- 09:00–16:00 — Skiing on the Cervinia–Zermatt linked area (360 km of pistes across Italy and Switzerland)
- 13:00 — Mountain hut lunch on the piste; guests text reception with pick-up time
- 16:30 — Return to hotel; sauna, steam room and hot tub open from afternoon
- 19:30 — Shared table dinner (4-course, family style: salad, pasta/soup, main, dessert in the lounge)

## Equipment rental (in-house ski shop, ground floor)

All gear is stored in the ground-floor shop overnight. Guests share height, weight and skill level before arriving and kit is ready at check-in. Swap any day if conditions or preferences change.

## Guided hiking

The hotel grew out of an alpine event company whose core business is guided mountain tours. Guiding is not an add-on: guests tell reception their level and preferences (even before arrival) and the guides plan the day around weather and fitness. All transport to and from trailheads is included — no car needed. Summer season runs June–September; glacier skiing on Plateau Rosa is available from May.
